New Compact Press with Process Monitoring – The Pneumatic Press 320

SCHMIDT® Technology has expanded its well-proven 300 Series Pneumatic press program by introducing the Pneumatic Press 320, a system with integrated sensor technology for lower force ranges.  As with the entire 300 series press product line, the Nr. 320 was designed as a robust system for the production environment.  

Some of the main features include:

• Force range of up to 1.6 kN (360 lbs) at 6 bar (87 psi)
• Working stroke from 0 to 100mm
• Internal adjustable positive stop (eliminates cover and potential pinch point) and fine adjustment
• Internal load cell, protected against side load – resolution of 1.25N (0.28 lbs)
• Internal stroke sensor to protect against environmental conditions – resolution of 0.005mm (.0002”)
• Signal amplifier, built into the head to minimize effects of electronic noise
• Dove-tail mounting for superior rigidity
• Round ram with wear free, roller-guided rotary protection for protection against side loads.

Used in conjunction with our PressControl 3000, this system provides real time process control and monitoring of an assembly operation.  When interfaced with our dual channel pneumatics and SafetyModule, the system provides an EC-type approved safe two-hand pressing environment.

So now there is an ideal solution for precision joining and assembling operations that require 100% quality control in the force range up to 1.6 kN (360 lbs).
